Training pedagogical

The chair of applied sports was created in 1945 and was named chair of Skiing sport and alpinism, then Skiing sport and tourism, and in 1995 chair of Applied sports.

During the years the chair was led by docent Mushegh Mamikonyan, then Hakob Kerselyan, RA honored coach, docent Martin Vekilyan, RA honored coach Aleksandr Mirzoyan, RA honored coach, PhD of pedagogy, docent Vachagan Meloyan, RA honored coach, RA physical culture and sport honored worker, professor Aghvan Chatinyan.

The chair of swimming was formed in 1945. The first head of the chair was Vladimir Savelev, who was invited from Moscow.

The chair was led by RA honored coach Anatoly Sokryukov, physica1 culture and sport honored figure, RA honored coach, referee of international class Igor Safaryan.

In 2016 the chairs of Applied sports and swimming were combined.
