The activity of the Archives is conditioned by RA law on Archives and in accordance to the requirements of the Institute as well as normative methodical documents and legal acts relating to archival work.
The Armenian government made no changes related to the preservation of archival documents.
According to archival legislation of RA, documents of the Institute liable to permanent storage and documents with limited period of time, are taken to the archive.
Permanent storage documents are processed, recorded and placed in special boxes.
Preservation period for documents is determined by the expert committee of the Institute.
Currently numbering of all documents is carried out in the archive.
