On June 25-26 in Aghveran, the International Workshop on the Issues and Challenges of the Quality Assurance System of Higher education took place on the initiative of the Quality Assurance Center of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport and the International Scientific-Research center. Representatives from 12 HEIs and other educational institutions participated in the international conference.
The workshop was led by Hilda Sels, the head of the Quality Assurance Center at Thomas More University (the Kingdom of Belguim), Iris De Roover, the dean of the Faculty of Journalism at the Thomas More, Johan Cloet, former Secretary General of the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education, EriK Tamboryn, co-founder of Delta Sport non-profit organization and education expert.
At the workshop, Vahram Araqelyan, the rector of the ASIPC delivered a welcoming speech stressing the importance of this international workshop.
Before the launch of the workshop, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the ASIPC and the Thomas More University, which allows the parties to carry out training programs, exchange of experience, student mobility and professional internship programs.
Expert Hilda Sels expressed hope that the collaboration program with the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport will have great achievements due to the diligent work that was done in the Institute. "Comparing the impressions of the visit I had two years ago in the institute, with what I have seen this time, the reforms and qualitative changes are obvious in terms of modernizing teaching and learning methods, getting equipped with new resources and implementing international programs" , noted H.
