Newspaper “Zoravig”
On the editor Pushkin Serobyan’s initiative the newspaper “Zoravig” organized a contest in 9 categories among its readers. The winner of the category “Best Rector” was Vahram Arakelyan the rector of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture.
Golden Symbol
International Wrestling Federation
The International Wrestling Federation awarded the Institute with the prize “Golden Symbol” for its special contribution to the development of World Wrestling in 2010. Our Institute was the first among many Institutes of Physical Culture and our country was the third among 200 member countries of the World Wrestling Federation to receive this prize.
European quality
European Educational Quality Assurance and Assessment Committe
In 2010 our Institute was awarded with the prize “European quality” by the European Educational Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee and it was mentioned:
"The election of your Institute is conditioned by the Institute’s activity, perfect practical and public reputation, participation in international programs and public projects and absence of negative opinion in mass media."
Sport and Society
International Olympic Academy of IOC and International Solidarity Committe
In 2000 the International Olympic Academy of IOC and International Solidarity Committee awarded the Institute with the highest prize “Sport and Society”. Moreover, 150 countries claimed on this prize but issue was resolved in our favour by secret ballot.
